Who builds Xpiry
I'm Radu Stavila, an Android developer. I design, build and support Xpiry myself, along with this website.
Why it exists
I built Xpiry after throwing away one too many things at home: food found at the back of the fridge a week too late, and medicine that had quietly expired in a drawer. I wanted a simple app that would remember the dates for me and tell me in time to do something about it.
It has grown since then — modules for medicine, cosmetics, documents and subscriptions, quantities and storage places, import and export for small shops — but the job is the same: know what you have and when it expires.
How Xpiry is made
- Local-first. Your products live in a database on your phone. There is no Xpiry account and no Xpiry server holding your list.
- Your backup, your Drive. Cloud backup is optional and goes to your own Google Drive. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored.
- Free, with ads. The free version is supported by ads; an in-app purchase or subscription removes them.
